kids celebrating birthday partyINFANTS-NEWBORN TO 18 MONTHS
The program at Warm Beginnings and More actively develops the minds and bodies of infants from birth to 18 months. It includes activities in sensory, auditory and visual awareness, fine and gross motor training, and cognitive skills. Activities to encourage social and emotional development, language, and self-care are also incorporated.

Our infant staff will attend specialized training to maintain a level of excellence in child care and expand their knowledge of the developmental stages of infants. Each day as you bring your infant to Warm Beginnings and More please take a few minutes to give us any needed information to help us care for your child with the maximum efficiency. Also, please be sure your child has all of their supplies such as diapers, wipes, change of clothes, etc. These items may be brought on a daily or weekly basis

Breast Feeding
Warm Beginnings and More provides a private space for breast feeding mothers to nurse their child. Please ask your child’s teacher or director.

The preschool program at Warm Beginnings and More develops the “whole” child. The children are encouraged to participate in all activities. The curriculum entails developmentally appropriate activities. It includes language development, cultural diversity, small and gross motor skills, creative expression and positive self-esteem as well as other activities to enable your child to experience a variety of well-rounded methods. Also, children will have a rest time of two hours each day. If your child does not require a nap, he/she may rest quietly on his/her mat so that he/she does not disturb the other children. You may send a nap pillow and small blanket that can be left at Warm Beginnings and More. We laundry them on a weekly basis. Please be sure they are labeled with your child’s name.

Our Preschool fun is open to 3 year-olds. At this stage of development, toddlers are usually characterized to have intense interest and curiosity with their surroundings. They tend to be over-energized, and are well-drawn to play activities. To cater to this extra energy, our Preschool Program prepares classes that engage children into full-blown activities to keep their fingers busy and their minds occupied with learning tasks. Learning doesn’t need to be stressful and coercive. At Warm Beginnings and More, children are exposed to the other side of learning – the fun part.

Preparatory in nature, the kindergarten program prepares your child to the huge challenges of stepping into grade school ahead. So aside from fun and play, integrated into classes are introductions to the basic learning tools like counting, reading, and writing.

We will provide a safe and nurturing environment for school agers before and after school. The Barbers Hill School District will provide transportation to and from Warm Beginnings and More. Before school, we will see to it that your child starts his day as smoothly as possible. After school, we will offer a mid-afternoon snack, as well as a quiet study time or homework time, after which the school agers will then be engaged in structured art or play activities, followed by outside play.

Our summer camp program offers continuum of learning for children even during summer breaks. It comes in the form of fun adventures, social exercises, and making acquaintances instead of being holed up at home and playing video games. Memories are made while new friendships are built.

Warm Beginnings and More is open from 6:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. The holidays we observe are New Years, Good Friday, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
